Born and raised in NJ and now residing in Atlanta; CHINUA HAWK has a story to tell. After almost ten years of touring the US and abroad and three CDs later, Chinua Hawk is not done yet. He connects with his audience on a personal level by sharing his personal struggles with them and using those struggles to inspire others. Chinua has performed with Celine Dion, written songs with Wyclef Jean and performed backing vocals on his CD “The Preachers Son.” He has also worked in the studio with Kanye West and Talib Kweli “Just to Get by.” Chinuas work has been used on T.V. show “Joan of Arcadia,” the movie “First Sunday,” and Dave Chapelle’s “Block Party.” He was named the APCA Multi-Cultural Artist of the year 2005,2006, APCA Best Cultural Fine Arts Artist 2008, APCA Performer of the year 2008, APCA Best Male Solo Performer 2009.
