As described by Amazon.com, MIKE DOUGHTY is the "cult poet and musician, " whose been most recently noted for smash hits, "27 Jennifers" and "Looking at the World From the Bottom of a Well." He led the band, Soul Coughing, in the 90s, wrote an Aquaman story for DC Comics, published Slanky: A Book of Poetry, wrote one-act plays for the 24 Hour Company, recorded a Christmas duet with Rosanne Cash, and was a pseudonymous gossip columnist at the New York Press. He is acclaimed for his lyrics, once described by the New Yorker as, having "more puzzling allusions than the Cantos of Ezra Pound." He's now touring in support of his 2011 latest record, Yes And Also Yes, which was the header of his online dating profile. Stay tuned for his latest project, The Book of Drugs, written about, as he calls it, his "ugly, drug-doing years," coming out in 2012.
