Internationally acclaimed Australian singer/songwriter and guitar wizard GEOFF ACHISON returns to the stage tonight with his soulful, gravelly vocals and upbeat rendition on traditional blues. He has a reputation as a guitarist's guitarist who has developed a blues/funk style all his own that can be delicate one moment and explosive the next. Years of touring, recording and relentless gigging has seen him share stages with scores of artists including Jorma Kaukonen & Hot Tuna, John Mayer, Levon Helm (of The Band) Hubert Sumlin, Clarence Gatemouth Brown + Aussies Tommy Emmanuel, Dutch Tilders, Phil Manning & Jeff Lang. His band, The Souldiggers, won the Group Of The Year trophy at the 2007 Chain Awards in Australia. His 8th solo album "The Meantime"blends sharp songwriting with subtle psychedelic grooves.
Listen:

DONNA HOPKINS is worthy of your attention. Best known for her bluesy vocals marked with emotion and true grit, Hopkins delivers "southern fried soul." With a performance style accurately described as "lightening in a bottle,"Hopkins matches her vast vocal ability with her raw & articulate guitar skills, making this singer-songwriter a triple threat. Fans of Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, and Melissa Etheridge will enjoy her music.
