| GREETINGS
ATTIC FANS!
Here's what's happening in the music room this coming week:
| | Wednesday, March 10th Show time: 8:00 pm / Doors open: 6:30 pm General admission advanced tickets: $10 General admission & meal combo: $25 At the door: $13 Table of 4 reserved seats: $50 | | Atlanta's REBECCA LOEBE is a young, talented, Berklee-trained singer-songwriter who has been playing the Attic stage with her poetic and quirky folk songs since she was 15. This past summer she won the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Contest at the Kerrville Folk Festival. Rebecca is touring in support of her recently unveiled album, "Mystery Prize." Listen: | | ROBBY HECHT's music represents a return to the early 70s golden era of acoustic pop where thoughtful, well-crafted lyrics were blended with timeless melodies to impact mainstream music and culture. His debut album Late Last Night, produced by Lex Price (Mindy Smith) and mixed by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Josh Rouse), was released in May of 2008 and features an impressive list of guest performers including Mindy Smith, Jeff Coffin, Thad Cockrell, Jill Andrews (The Everybodyfields), John Deaderick (Patty Griffin), Andrea Zonn (James Taylor) and more. He is the 2008 Kerrville New Folk Winner, and has shared the stage with such legendary artists as Richie Havens, Greg Brown, and Patty Griffin, and garnered comparisons to early James Taylor, Paul Simon, and Amos Lee. Listen: | | As a youngster, New York City based A.J. ROACH spent a number of months under the tutelage of cult blues guitarist Washboard Williams. After college he moved to San Francisco where he met and befriended musicians like Tom Meshishnik, Todd Sickafoose, Sean Hayes and Noe Venable. His writing blurs the line between indie and traditional folk, and he has drawn comparisons in the press to Will Oldham, David Eugene Edwards and Vic Chesnutt. He is considered a troubadour in the tradition of Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. His performances are so powerful that it is commonplace for audience members to be moved to tears. Roach's dry and cutting wit has made the stories he sometimes tells between songs almost as celebrated as the songs themselves. Listen: | | RAINA ROSE was a finalist in the 2007 Kerrville Folk Festival new folk competition, she received honorable mention in the 2006 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour competition and has been featured at the High Sierra Music Festival 2006, 2007, and 2009. Her first solo album Despite the Crushing Weight of Gravity (released in 2005) was produced by Jim Brunberg at Mississippi Studios. Her second album The Prophet, The Panhandler and The Moon came out in February 2007 on 1% For The Planet, Threepin Records. | | | |

Stylistically, his playing exhibits remarkable dynamics and tone control, usually to be found only in the playing of high-profile classical guitarists. Often referred to as the "Mozart of Guitar," Bensusan is considered a virtuoso player by other virtuosos, including Michael Hedges, who wrote a piece for Bensusan. Listen: | | | |
